Eating chips while biking

Have you ever bought chips and then realized you were riding your bike? Ever wanted to eat those chips while riding your bike? Yes, the unthinkable is now possible. I may not be the first to have thought of this, but I hope to spread my knowledge and further humanity in posting this.

I’ve had a bit of experience with situations like these in the past. The trick behind pulling this off correctly is all in hand positioning. You can hold your bag of chips like you normally would, but resting the bottom edge of your hand on the bike’s handlebar. Your non-bag-holding hand will be on the other handlebar as if you were riding a bike normally.

Now comes the difficult part: successfully eating a chip. Make sure there aren’t any big bumps coming up, or you could faceplant or fall. If there are no bumps, reach into the bag of chips with your other hand, make sure to keep the ride smooth and steady. Pick a chip and eat it. At any time during the picking process be ready to drop any chips and return your hand to the handlebar (to avoid bumps/falling down).

Use these tips at your own peril. You may risk a few chips/injuries while learning. Once learned, however, this is a useful life skill that will add extra depth to your bike rides.

Tutorial videos on the same subject are coming soon (i.e. next few months).
