Call of Duty 4 is a very addicting and fun game.
What’s even more fun is that you can get to level 55 with all unlocks and challenges completed by downloading an mpdata file, changing your CD key, replacing mpdata file, and changing your CD key back to the original. This is helpful for people who just got the game, as its very easy to level up so most players are already level 55. This is to give you that extra edge over other n00bz.
I tried this when it first came out, and its still working for me. It’s worth a shot.
I sure hope you know how to use Google’s “search” function. Here’s a link to start you off, and you should be good to go after a bit of digging.

It’s people who discover these things that ruin proper gaming. The fun is in moving up through the level’s, unlocking new guns and getting much more experienced at the game. Not cheating by getting there using a Cheat like you are doing. There is no fun involved.

They made it too easy to level up. Compare it to Battlefield 2/2142 for example.
What’s not fun is everyone at level 55, cheat or no cheat.
We could also blame it on Activision, for making the mistake of having an mpdata file and not tracking stats for CoD4. IMO this was a big mistake.
Anywho it’s a fun game, and the fact that everyone’s level 55 doesn’t lessen the experience.

well i for one think that it is good that people who play in LAN tourneys can still level up while playing in non-online matches however i do not condone this type of gaming abuse, just because you can get what you want quickly makes you enjoy it less because it isnt something you EARNED its just something you decided you wanted in the last ten minutes. do it the old fashioned way, trust me it’s more fun.

i just reinstalled cod4, i now do have the problem i have to go trough all the level raising again. I wont do that. I dont want to have a disadvantage compared to all the nerds having level 55. Ever thought of that?

I too am only doing this because I lost my stats, and I’m sure as hell not going to redo everything.

lol i would like to use this method since i got to 55 on xbox and then i got it for the pc (currently on lvl 43) but i just want to get the golden deagle :/
but im not sure if i should trust since i have been reading trough comments and there are many comments saying stuff like = i tried this and i have lost my levels! ect.
and one more thing… i donwloaded a file (rar) that contained the mpdata file and scanned it then it dissapierd.. so ima leave iit for now…
